The Expedition is the largest Ford SUV. It can carry up to eight people comfortably, and its powerful engine can haul and tow heavy loads. A Powerful Engine
The 2019 Ford Expedition has a turbocharged, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that provides 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Choose the Platinum or Platinum MAX trim levels and use premium fuel to get 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.
Outstanding Performance
The Expedition gives you and your passengers a smooth, comfortable ride. It comes with power steering, electronic stability control, trailer sway control, and a rearview camera with backup assistance. It can tow up to 9,300 pounds, and there’s plenty of room for groceries, luggage, camping supplies, or anything else you and your passengers may need. You can add a blind spot monitoring system with cross-traffic alert and trailer tow monitoring.
Automatic start and stop technology shuts off the engine when you stop in traffic to conserve fuel. The 2019 Expedition can go 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. With four-wheel drive, one of the MAX trims can travel 16 mpg in traffic and 21 mpg on the open road.
Models with all-wheel drive include hill start assist and hill descent control. They also have a terrain management system that makes automatic changes to traction control, the suspension, and the 10-speed automatic transmission. With the FX4 off-road package, you’ll get premium front and rear shocks, a heavy-duty radiator, fuel tank underbody protection, and an FX4 badge near the driver’s side mirror.
Sleek, Capable Style
The Expedition’s boxy, muscular design and huge chrome grille make it look like it could handle almost anything with ease. The base XLT comes with 18-inch wheels, a rear windshield wiper, a windshield wiper deicer, a rear window defroster and washer, fog lights, running boards, a roof rack, privacy glass in the second and third row, and an Easy Fuel capless fuel filler. It also has heated, power, manually folding side mirrors with integrated blind spot mirrors.
You can add rain-sensing windshield wipers, a panoramic sunroof, a hands-free liftgate, front tow hooks, and 20- or 22-inch wheels as well. The MAX trim levels are much longer than the other options, and they include an additional 16.9 cubic feet of convenient cargo space.
