Ford Bronco | Jordan Ford San Antonio, TXThe Ford Bronco midsize SUV was one of the most popular four-wheel drive vehicles for more than three decades. Production stopped in 1996, but a new, more modern model will debut in 2020. It has the original Bronco’s classic look along with outstanding off-road performance. You can also expect a comfortable interior and plenty of advanced technologies.

Ford will make the Bronco at its original production site in Wayne, Michigan. This new vehicle shares a platform with the Ford Ranger, and they’ll be constructed together. Here’s some more information about the features you can expect from the 2020 Ford Bronco.

An Attractive, Versatile Exterior With Plenty of Options

The 2020 Bronco has a boxy, unique look. Its rectangular grille has a horizontal black or chrome bar with the Ford Blue Oval in the center. It also has a sculpted hood, a large bumper, and high ground clearance. The round headlights contrast well with the grille, and it has a fun, retro feel.

You can choose a two-door or a four-door model, and removable doors and roof rails will be available. You can also add a removable top called the Air Roof with six modular panels. Drivers can remove them manually, store them in the vehicle, and then replace them when they don’t feel like driving with the top down. You can replace these panels when needed with an optional mesh roof. It lets you enjoy a pleasant breeze while protecting you from the hot sun.

At least four trim levels will be available: Bronco, XLT, Limited, and Platinum. There may also be a Raptor trim with additional off-road abilities that’s based on the Ford Ranger’s Raptor trim. A smaller model called the Bronco Adventurer and a hybrid will be available, as well. A Bronco truck will be available in 2024.

Excellent Performance

The new Bronco will be great at handling rough terrain, including steep hills, deep mud or snow, ice, and big rocks. It will have a 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the same one as the Ford Ranger. It provides 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, and it’s attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. A V-6 option with a seven-speed manual transmission will also be available.

A Practical, Comfortable Interior

The 2020 Ford Bronco will have two rows and seat five people. It will also have plenty of passenger and cargo space, folding rear seats, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and convenient safety and driver assistance features. Expect electronic stability control, traction control, adaptive cruise control, hill start assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and many similar technologies.
