  1. Coffee and Pastries at Bakery Lorraine

For one of the finest French-style bakeries, you’ll find in the entire country, head to the Bakery Lorraine. Since 2010, they’ve established themselves as one of the best restaurants in San Antonio and they’ve amassed accolades and awards with their creations.

Show up for breakfast or lunch to taste their thoughtful menu items, or show up just for their famous desserts. Macarons, eclairs, tarts, specialty bread, pastries galore — their bakery goods are out of this world.

  1. Shop Local at the Farmers Market

If you love farmers markets, you’d be remiss to miss the Pearl Weekend Market. In our opinion, it’s one of the best you’ll find in Texas.Rain or shine, Saturday and Sunday, the Weekend Market lets you explore south Texas’ local flavors. More than 45 vendors hawking their wares let you try everything from specialty olive oils and cheeses to handcrafted gifts. Feeling good about supporting local business is easy with the delicious fresh food you’ll find at the market.

  1. Visit Hotel Emma

Whether you’re looking for a beautiful boutique hotel to stay in or not, Hotel Emma deserves a visit. The hotel is located in an old 19th-century brewing house and offers some of the most elegant and interesting explorations and interior designs.

Hotel Emma’s lobby is where the brewery’s boiler room used to be and the way they’ve updated it is simply amazing. Stop by Supper for an unforgettable dining experience, shop the treasures at the Curio boutique, or just take in the elegance and charm of the hotel’s design.

  1. Shop Till You Drop

If you’re here to shop, the Pearl District’s interesting selection will keep you busy no matter what you’re looking for. Visit the Twig Book Shop to see one of the best bookstores in San Antonio. If you’re looking for stylish home decor, the Tiny Finch has you covered. Hemingwayesque adventurers will love the Sporting District shop. Everywhere you look in the Pearl, you’ll find great shops that are perfect for gift-shopping and stylizing your life.

  1. Have a World-Class Dinner

Thanks in large part to the Culinary Institute of America calling the Pearl District its home, you can have some of the most delicious dinners of your life in this neighborhood. Stop by Cured for some of the tastiest meals you’ll ever have. Eat at Botika for a tour through Peruvian-Asian cuisine. For delicious kosher and vegetarian food, go to Green. The restaurant choices here will make you want to return again and again to try them all.
