2020 EcoSportYou want to find an SUV that fits your needs perfectly, but it can be challenging with so many options available. Ford has been making great cars and trucks for generations, so you can be confident in their ability to make a solid SUV too. Whether you want a compact crossover or something slightly larger, you can find it in their 2020 lineup. Here’s a breakdown of some of the differences between the 2020 EcoSport and the 2020 Escape to help you decide which one is right for you.

Exterior Design

You can get the EcoSport in one of four trim levels. They are the S, SE, Titanium, and SES. The Escape is available in five trim levels: S, SE, SE Sport Hybrid, SEL, and Titanium. Exterior color options vary on these models. With the EcoSport, they include Canyon Ridge, Race Red, and Blue Candy. For the Escape, your color options are Sedona Orange, Dark Persian Green, and Desert Gold, just to name a few. On the EcoSport, you’ll see features such as halogen quad-beam projector headlights, power heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, and silver-painted roof rack side rails.

The Escape has a few differences that include configurable daytime running lamps, black roof rack side rails, a body-color rear spoiler, and front and rear skid plates. For both of these vehicles, options will vary based on the trim level.

Interior Comfort

While both of these SUVs can comfortably seat five passengers, there are differences in their cabins. With the EcoSport, you get 60/40 fold-flat rear seatbacks, a B&O 10-speaker audio system, folding grab handles for the front passenger, and a first-row dome light and map light. In the Escape, you’ll enjoy second-row sliding seats, a remote start system, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a rotary gear shift dial.

Advanced Technology

Staying connected is an important part of life in our technology-driven society. This is why there are plenty of modern technology features found on both the 2020 EcoSport and the 2020 Escape. The Sync 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is available on both vehicles. You can also turn either of these SUVs into a Wi-Fi hot spot thanks to FordPass Connect. In the EcoSport, you’ll get smart-charging USB ports and a 110-volt power outlet, while the Escape offers an available head-up display and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster display.

Reliable Safety

Ford Co-Pilot360 comes on every EcoSport and Escape, but the safety features provided will vary based on model and trim level. Some of the safety features you can expect to find on the EcoSport are a reverse sensing system, hill start assist, a rearview camera, and blind-spot warning with rear-cross traffic alert. The Escape adds several safety features such as traction control, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, a lane-keeping system, and auto high-beam headlamps. Adaptive cruise control with stop and go and lane centering is also available on the Escape.

These are just some of the differences between the 2020 EcoSport and 2020 Escape, but hopefully, you can now decide which one suits you best. If you want to take either of these vehicles for a test drive, come in to Jordan Ford today.
