If you’re looking for a car, truck, or SUV with the latest safety features, you can’t go wrong with a Ford vehicle. Ford’s Co-Pilot360 is an innovative safety suite featuring cutting-edge technology to protect your most precious cargo and help you drive more confidently. Look closely at what it offers.

Pre-Collision Assist With Automatic Emergency Braking

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking is a standard Ford Co-Pilot360 feature that detects vehicles and pedestrians as they enter your path. If it senses a potential collision, the system will issue audio and visual alerts. When you can’t take action to avoid a possible collision, the system will automatically apply the brakes. Pre-Collision Assist can help prevent or mitigate frontal collisions by taking this action.

Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) With Cross-Traffic Alert

The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) uses strategically placed radar sensors to detect vehicles entering your blind spot zones. When the system senses these vehicles, you’ll see an indicator light in the side-view mirror. The system will also activate the indicator light when you’re backing out of a parking space or driveway, and the system senses oncoming traffic from either side of your Ford.

Select Ford trucks and SUVs let you take advantage of BLIS with Trailer Coverage, which monitors your tow trailer’s blind spots when towing cargo.

Lane-Keeping System

Even the most careful drivers can get distracted and not notice when their vehicle drifts out of its lane. Ford offers a Lane-Keeping System that scans lane markings on both sides of your car with a forward-facing camera. If you’re moving out of your lane, you’ll feel the steering wheel vibrate. The vibration is like what you’d experience driving over a rumble strip. The system can also apply corrective steering if you don’t promptly react to its warnings.

If your Ford is constantly drifting, the driver attention alert will suggest you pull over and take a break.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control is a premium feature available in select Ford trim levels. When using adaptive cruise control, you can select your vehicle’s preferred cruising speed, and the system will maintain that speed without you having to keep your foot on the accelerator. If traffic slows, the system will lower your vehicle’s cruising speed. It can also bring your Ford to a complete stop when necessary. The system will resume traveling at your selected speed when traffic picks up.

BlueCruise

BlueCruise is the newest addition to Ford’s suite of safety technology. This groundbreaking feature builds on Ford’s Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition technologies, allowing drivers to operate their vehicles hands-free. Also, when you drive a Ford equipped with BlueCruise, a driver-facing camera ensures you keep your eyes on the road so that you perform driving maneuvers when necessary. BlueCruise is compatible with more than 130,000 miles of North American roads.

As you can see, Ford offers an impressive array of standard and optional safety features. Test-drive a Ford car, truck, or SUV to experience this safety technology and other remarkable amenities.
