Mobile service is a benefit you receive from being a Ford owner. It enables you to have your servicing requirements carried out at a place convenient for you rather than bringing your car into our service department. As your dealer, Jordan Ford would like to tell you more about some of the mobile services we can perform for you.

Jordan Ford Mobile Service

Battery Services

The battery is one of your car’s most important components. Its job is to provide the power that’s used to start your engine. A battery stores electricity in the form of chemical energy through a complex series of chemical reactions. Over time, these chemical reactions will cause the battery to weaken and eventually fail. If you have a dead battery, your car won’t move until it gets a replacement battery or a jump start.

If you have a battery problem in and around the San Antonio, TX, area, our technicians will come to you. We can test your battery using our battery testing equipment, and we’ll replace it with a new battery if the old one has failed. If your battery is working, the problem could be damaged cables, a blown fuse, or another issue. Our Ford-trained technicians will identify and repair the issue for you.

Tire Rotation

Your tires suffer wear and tear as you drive due to abrasion with the surface. Although modern tire construction is highly advanced, the rubber will still wear out. Tires wear in different areas depending on their position on your car and the type of drivetrain you have. This wear will eventually cause leaks, pictures, or even a blowout.

Our technicians can rotate your tires to alleviate this situation. We shift your tires to different positions on your car, and this reduces wear. Regular tire rotations allow all of your tires to wear down at a relatively similar rate. This increases the time between tire replacements and enables you to plan for their eventual replacement.

Spark Plugs

Spark plugs provide the ignition source for combustion in your Ford’s cylinders. When your engine is running, air flows into the intake manifold and mixes with fuel injected by the fuel injectors. The air and fuel will mix in a precise ratio, and this mixture will be drawn into the cylinders. The fuel-air mixture in a cylinder is compressed by the piston and then ignited by the spark plug to produce combustion.

Plugs can wear out due to age, and they can also become damaged by other engine issues. A high fuel-to-air ratio, for example, can coat the plugs in sticky carbon which prevents them from successfully igniting. Our technicians will examine your spark plugs and clean or replace them depending on the situation.

If you have a problem and can’t get to us, call our service department at Jordan Ford Ltd. Our technicians will come to you and fix the problem in no time.
