Ford F-150The Ford F-150 is Ford’s full-size pickup truck and one of the most complete and capable trucks you can find. The 2019 has a few updates to some of the trims including the Limited which will now have the 450 horsepower engine from the Raptor, and the Raptor gets new off-road shocks along with Recaro seats and a Trail Control system. Here is a look at the 2019 Ford F-150.

 

Trim Options for the 2019 Ford F-150

Ford offers the F-150 in six different main trim levels. The XL comes with 17-inch steel wheels, a pre-wired trailer connection, manual side mirrors, and automatic headlights. The XLT adds power mirrors, alloy wheels, chrome exterior trim and chrome bumpers, and fog lights. The Lariat is the next step up and comes with 18-inch wheels and a trailer hitch, while the King Ranch adds a Western styling theme. The Platinum upgrades to 20-inch wheels and adds power-deployable running boards, and the Limited has 22-inch wheels.

The Raptor is the off-road model and comes with a reinforced frame, 17-inch wheels with off-road tires, flared fenders, and skid plates.

Under the Hood of the 2019 Ford F-150

The base engine for the F-150 is a 3.3-liter V-6 with 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. Up next, a 2.7-liter V-6 will get you 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, and then a 5.-0-liter V-8 that will generate 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. A 3.5-liter turbo V-6 will get either 375 horsepower or 510 horsepower. Ford also offers a 3.0-liter diesel engine with 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.

The F-150 is easy to drive whether you take it through town or over curvy roads. The strong engines give the F-150 plenty of power to make towing and hauling easy, and it can handle up to 13,200 pounds when equipped with the trailer package. The Raptor model is the best choice for any off-road adventures. It has a special four-wheel drive system, and it comes with a modified suspension to help it tackle rough terrain.

Inside the 2019 Ford F-150

The Regular cab can fit up to three people, and the SuperCab and the SuperCrew can both seat six. The lower-end models have good quality cloth upholstery and starting with the Lariat leather seats come standard. Additional cabin features include the available power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Take just one step up from the base trim and the F-150 comes with an 8-inch touch screen display, the Sync 3 infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and FordPass Wi-Fi connectivity. The higher trims add an upgraded stereo system, and you can also get navigation and satellite radio.

All the F-150 models come standard with a rearview camera, and Ford’s forward-collision warning system with automatic emergency braking. Additional safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear seat belts that inflate, rear parking sensors, and automatic windshield wipers are available depending on the trim. There is also a surround-view camera system, automated parallel parking, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning available.
