2023 Ford Bronco
In its third year of production, the 2023 Ford Bronco offers exceptional off-road capabilities thanks to a muscular engine lineup. This subcompact SUV can tackle just about any type of terrain and provides you with a smooth ride while doing it. With almost a dozen trims available and two distinct body styles, you're bound to find a 2023 Ford Bronco that works best for your needs and budget.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
For the 2023 model year, Ford added two new trims to the Bronco lineup. The Heritage and Heritage Limited trims join eight others: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, and Raptor. The Bronco is available in either a two- or four-door body style in all trims except for the Everglades and Raptor. The two-door Bronco has seating for four, while the four-door seats five.
Engine (Power)
The 2023 Ford Bronco has three powerful engine options. The base 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 300 horsepower. Two twin-turbocharged V-6 engines are also available, with the 2.7-liter one cranking out 330 horsepower and the 3.0-liter option getting 418 horsepower. All engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission to send power to all four wheels, but a seven-speed manual transmission is available with the base engine.
Performance
Gas mileage varies on the 2023 Ford Bronco, depending on the trim. You'll get the best numbers from the base engine with either transmission with an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. The Bronco is also one of the best off-roading vehicles on the market due to its suspension and elevated ride height. The Raptor models have an impressive 13.1 inches of ground clearance.
Interior
Regardless of the number of seats, the 2023 Ford Bronco has a spacious interior. Even those riding in the rear seats can stretch their legs out during longer drives. The SUV comes standard with cloth upholstery and manually adjustable seats, but you can opt for vinyl and leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.? Both body styles offer ample cargo space, with the four-door versions boasting larger numbers. The two-door models have 22.4 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and 52.3 cubic feet of space once you fold down these seats. The four-door ones boast 35.6 cubic feet of space behind their rear seats and 77.6 cubic feet of space once those seats fold down. The SUV's easy-to-use infotainment system is accessible either via the standard 8-inch or optional 12-inch touchscreen display. Both offer a simple menu structure along with large icons so you can easily find what you're looking for. You can also use buttons and knobs to alter the climate, audio, and other vehicle settings. Some of the other standard features include HD and satellite radio, four USB ports, Bluetooth, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. You can opt for additional features such as navigation, wireless smartphone charging, extra USB ports, and a 120-volt household-style power outlet.
Safety Features
All 2023 Ford Bronco models come with several key safety features, some of which include automatic high-beam headlights, a rear-seat reminder, and forward automatic emergency braking. Upper trims include additional features such as lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view parking camera system.
