2021 Ford Transit Connect

The 2021 Ford Transit Connect is available in two trim levels: XL and XLT. The van features sleek lines giving it a practical yet professional appearance that isn't too boxy. The Easy Fuel capless fuel-filler keeps the lines smooth on the exterior. The XL has a black bumper, while the XLT's front bumper is body-color. Both trim levels of the van have black door handles, a 3-bar grille with black surround, and a black rear bumper. Roof rails are available for both trims. The XLT is available with high-intensity discharge headlamps and adaptive cornering fog lamps. The van rides on 16-inch wheels.

A 2.0-liter GDI I-4 engine provides power to the Transit Connect Van. The engine is paired with an eight-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. A six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission is also available for both trim levels.

The van gets an EPA-estimated 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. Two driving modes allow you to choose the best for your current driving conditions. Select between EcoMode and EcoCoach. Curve control and the optional trailer sway control help ensure a smooth ride.

Inside the Transit Connect Van, you'll find seating for two passengers. The XL has vinyl seating surfaces and the XLT has cloth surfaces. Front-row manual climate control comes standard on both trim levels, and the XLT is available with dual-zone front auto temperature control. The XL features a four-spoke steering wheel and the XLT has a four-spoke steering wheel with satin chrome accents. For a bit of luxury, opt for the leather-wrapped steering wheel, which is available for both trim levels. SYNC 3 is standard equipment in the XLT and available for the XL, and voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM traffic and Travel Link is available for both trim levels. The XL includes a 4.2-inch LCD multi-function display. Keep all of your devices charged without the hassle of wires with the wireless charging pad that comes standard in the XLT and is available in the XL. The 180-degree swing-out rear cargo doors make it easy to load and unload the van. Premium carpeted floor mats come standard in the XLT. The rear cargo area has vinyl floor covering, but all-weather floor mats are also available.

The 2021 Transit Connect Van has both passive and active safety features to keep you safe on the road. A blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert and cruise control are standard on the XLT and available on the XL. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping system are also available for the XLT trim level. Standard equipment for both trims includes Safety Canopy numerous airbags, a rear view camera, and emergency brake assist.
