2020 Ford Transit
After a significant refresh, the 2020 Ford Transit is more tech-savvy and comfortable than it's ever been. This easy-to-upfit van is also more capable, with new engines and all-wheel drive on offer. And, like always, the Transit 150 offers a range of configurations — including passenger and cargo versions — to suit a variety of uses.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new Ford Transit is available in four main configurations. Passenger vans are available in two trims: XL and XLT. And there are two Transit cargo van models: the Cargo Van and Crew Van. You can configure your chosen model with three roof heights: low, medium, and high. There are also three Transit lengths: regular, long and extended.

Engine (Power)
For 2020, there are two Transit engines on offer. One is a holdover from previous years, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 that makes 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Shoppers can also choose a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel inline-four that impresses with its 211 horses and 369 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The Transit lets you choose between standard rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive. The latter maximizes traction, helping you maintain your grip on icy pavement and otherwise slippery roads. This commercial van is also extremely capable. Depending on how you equip yours, the Transit can tow up to 6,900 pounds. For Transit 150 models, gross combined weight ratings reach up to 12,600 pounds.
Interior
Inside, the Transit feels less like a commercial van and more like a homey Ford Explorer. The new cabin design is elegant and modern, with an ergonomic seating and dash layout.
The Transit comes standard with 4.2-inch infotainment display, but you can always upgrade to the Sync 3 system and its 8-inch touch screen. Sync 3 includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, technology that can project commonly used apps onto the central touchscreen, allowing you to access features without picking up your phone. This smartphone integration technology also offers quick access to your phone's sophisticated voice controls — all you have to do is press a button on the steering wheel.
